Life Issues vs. Comic Book    Posted by Kerry    2006-10-29 21:54:33 Pacific Standard Time GRAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! *ehem* Ok, now that THAT'S out of my system, welcome to AngelSorrow.com! Hope you are have a slightly better time than I am right now. My life's kinda messed up at the moment. My step-dad isn't talking to us and it's bugging the crap out of me. I haven't had enough sleep this weekend, there's guilt, lack of sleep (did I mention that already?) and I'm in an artistis slump. I kinda wanted to have tommarrow off for art work but I was asked to switch a shift with a co-worker, which I took cause I kinda need the money. *sighs* So, how is everyone? Looking forward to Halloween? Coming up on Tuesday! I'm soooo sorry that I haven't been updating for a while. I try but it's hard when you have to wake up at 6 or 7 am. Grrgg! But I have been working on the series and sadly I went a little further in volumes like to volume 3. I KNOW BUT I COULDN'T HELP IT!!! I started writting and drawing an opening for volume 3 and woah! I think the best opening yet! Volume 1, ok, volume 2, not bad, but volume 3....woah! Pretty good intro! I'm gonna have to pull out the big guns for volume 4 and 5. Volumes 5 I have a pretty good idea but don't hold your breath. Hehehe. I got really bored in the calendar store tonight so I wrote and drew a few roughs for the opening with Maria Ryan, the talent agent turned actress who's brother, Nathen is a little pshycho with mind-altering powers. I think I gotta pick one name and run with it for these characters cause Maria's brother gets his name changed alot. So sorry, love. DON'T KILL ME, PLEASE! I GOTTA GET PUBLISHED FIRST THEN YOU CAN TRY AND KILL ME!!! He's a little nasty bugger but he's one of my favorite characters to design and just poke at. Hehehe. Go ahead and poke, he won't giggle but jelly comes from his tummy. Look! *pokes and jelly comes out of Nathen's tummy* Weee! Somebody bring the toast, quick!!!! HEHEHEH! So, my first bazaar went over pretty well. I had a big fan come to my booth alot, which caused some problems but it was sweet. She had quite an imagination. hahahah. Oh, youth. *sighs* This weekend is going to be my second and LAST *thank god* bazaar of the year and then: CONS!!! I was hoping to get a booth at Orecon but I got so tied up that it'll have to wait. I have one more show till the big guys come in the summer time. I hope to make enough money to go to Anime Evolution and Kumoricon. Kumoricon is a sure-fire winner but Anime Evolution would be fun to join cause Rem and her girls are going and I'd love to tag along to just sell, meet new friends and just help out with the Creation Station. Load-time Changes    Posted by Alex    2006-10-13 20:55:43 Pacific Daylight Time Hey everyone! Just writing to let you know that I've updated the site to help with load times. I thought dynamically loading images would save on space and time. Well, it saves on space, but not time. So now all the images are saved as thumbnails, so load times should be a lot quicker now. If anyone notices a bug or a problem, let me know via the forums!

The weather is nice and bright, my cat is licking his butt with such glee.... wait.... you really didn't need to know that but, hell now you do! So, with Christmas rolling around the corner I'm in the middle of work, finding a second job, getting these shows in order and trying to finish a few of these pages for the final production that I would just love to have ready by Summer or Spring time. I am not going to make a deffinate mark on when I can get the printing done but I did speek with my editor about the pages in general and this is what he said:"Excelent! Greatly improved. I can't wait to see this and I know the fans will love the changes. It's a classic, simple, short and sweet take on the original, even though the original was quite good. This just moves quicker. Well done!" So, thank you, Alex. So, I thought I'd let you guys know what I have planned for TA. Since the printing costs are kinda high for me and I can't see myself charging $20 for a little book I decided to give you two comics of volume 1 of Tainted Angel. I think I want to call is "Tainted Angel: Songs of an Angel" but if not I'll just give it, what? 8 parts for the series? Just name is "Tainted Angel: Part 1" and so on and so forth. Part 1 will include chapters 1 and 2 of TA including some Bastett's Chats, which is my little comic book ditty I do for my friends. I do them to cheer up my friends and they range from totally bizzare to "that girl needs to lay off the coffee," to "holy god! Stop her from seeing so many movies" and anything else I feel I should exploit as only Bastett can do! Hehehe. But I hope to have an edition of TA in my Bastett's Chats if I don't drop dead from all the work I've been doing. I've been inking art work like crazy, calling up editors, I've been researching my competition, been looking for more jobs to pay for my printing costs and just surviving this dreadful holiday. But the Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I just love October... and it's almost over! Gah! Quick thought: Would any of you buy a "Tainted Angel" calendar if I were to make one online or sell it at one of my shows? If so please let me know. I might do that but my general calendar for 2007 will be available soon once I finish a few of these images. My October image is almost over, thank God cause my cat just bugs the crap out of me when I am drawing this thing. He must know that he inspired this image cause he won't leave me alone! *ggrrgg* I love muh kitty, though. *loves* So enjoy and I hope to see you all at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Battle Ground, WA on October 28th at 9am!
